English Rose or Spanish Senorita . . . or perhaps just a plain old Romany?
The Spanish used to describe me as “Gitana”. . . Gypsy. This is actually a derogatory term in Castilian but hey-ho, you are what you are & being a Spiritualist, I took it graciously!
I’m not sure where home is - but know where I am at the moment. Currently based in Holmfirth, Yorkshire with my feet firmly on the ground . . . until the next calling!
My life seems to be planned out in 7 year rides (not hitches!). This has certainly been a fact with regards to my career and the winding path that has led me in numerous directions.
I grew up performing and respecting the Arts, as a Pianist, Violinist, Guitarist and Ballet Dancer. This initially led me to study Music and Art – followed by a short spell of teaching.
A career change into Social Work as a Community Assessor gave me the opportunity to study Sociology and Psychology. Here I learned the dynamics of interaction, empathy and understanding; common sense, problem solving and thinking on your feet!
It was in this role that I recognised the importance of empowering individuals, teaching them new skills, adapting ways and ultimately helping them to help themselves.
Seven years in Spain was mind expanding…the grass certainly was not greener! Here I coordinated several business projects and worked as a Guide. As my parents were active within Alfaz Spiritual Foundation - my practice and development within the esoteric was ongoing.
Integrating into the Spanish Culture was amazing. Castles, fiestas, family pride and community togetherness was enlightening. There is now a rich blend of European communities, many languages and a great tapestry of traditions. The Spanish are immensely proud and patriotic to their history and culture which incorporates so many pagan rituals, Arabic influences and mysticism.
Hispanic rhythms, Latin Music, Salsa and Flamenco became a natural passion – as well as Motown and Soul at Café Benidorm, the Mediterranean diet and fine wine. So many good things but less opportunities, hence - back to the moors, woodlands, the seasons and a new future.
With my loyal companion - a giant Spanish rescue dog called Bonita "Wolfie" Luna (3 names as she is Spanish), we can be seen out in natures elements, chasing squirrels, rabbits, and cats up Castle hill, around Digley Dam, through Mag Wood and Storthes Hall.
As a qualified and practising Hypnotherapist (Curative & Past Life), Spiritual Life Coach, Professional Relaxation Therapist, Meditation Teacher and Psychic Development Practitioner – I wanted to expand my skills further and seek further knowledge and new experiences with like minded individuals, I have attended and highly recommend ongoing training at the Arthur Findlay College of Psychic Science (in Stanstead) as an excellent opening for further development and practice.
So back to reality . . . grounded, focused and with oodles of common sense. I have been guided to travel on my destined path. May it illuminate my mind and inspire those I meet in this dimension and the higher levels of vibration.
