Power In Your Hands

A few years ago I was doing Property Searches around the North of England. It was a lonely job where I often drove 250 miles a day to a destination for less than a 1 hour appointment.
One day I was particularly down hearted about things. I hated my job, I had been diagnosed with a serious health problem, I missed family life in Spain, I had no-one to love or support me and I needed a big hug. The combination of problems, confusion and fear had escalated out of control to where I could not stop crying.

It was a beautiful evening and the moon was in full glow as I took Wolfie her last walk around 10pm. The fields and moors surrounding our house where still muddy after heavy rain throughout the last couple of days, hence my decision to stick to the public paths, have a walk round the block and in Wolfie’s case, ensure every other dog had safely gone to bed so she would settle!
I always carry my big security torch with me on the last walk, so I can see what she (Wolfie) is up to and carry the knowledge that it would act as a fabulous heavy object weapon should the need arise.

Ever had that feeling that something is going to happen, then it does? You think of someone...the phones rings, and it's them? I was in Leeds shopping on Saturday. It is only the third time I have been in the 4 years I have been back in the UK. Suddenly, as I walked aimlessly through crowds of blank faces I heard spirit. "You are going to see and talk to someone whom you have not seen for years". I remember smiling and suddenly, feeling less alone. Within minutes an elegant young lady shouted "Jax". It took me several moments to recognise the individual.

Oh no...I keep getting it so wrong but so right...so much I know and I'm not allowed to pass without being asked. This psychic law makes things complicated at times and can be a burden.
